She also has over 25 years of combined experience in marketing, communications, public relations, grant writing and event management. Her professional experience includes higher education, non-profits, healthcare, retail and restaurant industries. She is a Continuing Education instructor for a local community college and has taught as an adjunct college instructor in the subjects of life skills, small business development, marketing, customer service and management.
Whitaker's teaching ability brings a blend of traditional and innovative teaching methods with a substantial emphasis on critical thinking skills, self-direction and career preparation. She believes that communication skills whether it's Reading, writing or speaking are paramount for students to excel in an ever-changing, competitive business world as well as in achieving fulfillment in everyday relationships.
